Choosing a charger for your product range

A practical starting point for discussing form factor, output configurations and market requirements.

Choosing a charger for your product range

Start with where the charger will be used. A vehicle installation and an indoor power outlet call for different product formats. Decide whether your range needs car chargers, wall chargers, or both.

Prepare a list of the devices and connectors your customers expect to use. When reviewing a multi-output model, ask for the output of each connection and the allocation when several connections are used together. A single-port rating is not a substitute for the simultaneous-output specification.

For wall chargers, specify the destination market and preferred plug version. Ask the team to confirm the exact configuration and the documents applicable to that model and market.

An inquiry is easier to follow when it includes a model reference, intended quantity, destination market and any branding requirements. Confirm the final specification and sample before placing an order.
